partial vs full goodwill on balance sheet

The full goodwill method results in higher total assets and higher total stockholders equity than the partial goodwill method.
Can someone explain what the corresponding stockholders equity entry for goodwill is? I understand that assets will be higher but how does goodwill balance out on the stockholders equity side?

I'm drawing a blank - how do you calculate the non-controlling interest under partial goodwill? Its starting to drive me crazy! I don't have my books or notes readily available.

That's it! Thanks.

under equity method and acquisition method, we know the equity and NI are the same for both.
My confuse is that how is [equity/ NI / assets] under partial vs full goodwill, compared to the equity method? i think the NI is still the same.
